To play volleyball there are some must haves that will not only help you with your game but help you move on the court more fluidly Here are my Top 10 Essentials to playing Volleyball.
Number 1. Volleyball - Now it may seem obvious but to play volleyball you will need a ball. There are different types of balls but I recommend for girls to use anything from Tachikara is typically a good brand and for boys use a Molten spiral or Mikasa depending on feeling

Number 2. Shoes- Another obvious one but this one is very important. To pick a good shoe you need to take some things into account, the floor( Texture),the fitting (How it feels in your foot),and the stability (How long will it last you and for how long). Also you have to take style into account matching with your uniform and just how nice the shoe looks.
Number 3. Socks- Having comfortable socks could make or break your playing experience it is wise to choose a comfortable sock that works with your shoes as well as your feet. Comfortable socks will help cushion your feet so there is not as much discomfort later

Number 4. Shorts - It is essential to have breathable shorts so that your mobility and range is not as limited. Another thing to take into account is that shorts without pockets are better. I often get my fingers caught in my pocket when I'm playing and its just easier not to have them.
Number 5. Compression shorts- For me having compression shorts has a slight impact on my game but it still shouldn't go unmentioned. Compression shorts are not just for keeping everything in place but for comfort as well.
Number 6. Shirt- Having a comfortable absorbent shirt while playing volleyball will increase your comfort levels when you are playing. A shirt that is comfortable will go a long way.
Number 7. Knee pads- When on the court you need to be able to dive into various spots of the floor. Diving into these spots will hurt your knees without padding. That's where knee pads come in find a pair that keeps you mobile yet still protects your knee.
Number 8. Knee brace- The knee pads and the brace are interchangeable depending on the position you may be playing. A knee brace will provide stability for your knee so there is less pain from the constant jumping. If your playing a lot of front row or jumping i recommend using a brace
Number 9. Ball pump- A pump can be very helpful for you or your teammates. The balls seem to loose air very quickly if you play with them a lot. It is very handy to have a pump around so that your ball isn't underinflated.
Number 10.
Bag- Finding a bag that holds all your jerseys and personal items can be difficult. If you want to get the best bag possible you will need to get one that has a specific holding spot for you shoes and ball. Make sure you can fit all of your Essentials inside the bag.

I completely agree with this list! When I played club, one of other my essentials was always keeping easy to eat snacks like granola bars in my bag, especially during long tournament weekends.
